Peak Pursuit Tutoring provides one-on-one and small-group tutoring for primary school students, Year 2 to Year 8, in reading, writing and maths, and for Year 9 and 10 students in english and maths. We also prepare students for their CAA exams. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and learning style.

What we tutor
Primary Year 2 to Year 8 reading, writing and maths, Year 9 and 10 english and maths, CAA exam preparation, and the study skills that hold everything together.
Primary Year 2–8 reading
For Years 2–3 we build phonics, decoding, fluency and early comprehension. For Years 4–8 we develop comprehension, vocabulary, critical thinking, and the ability to analyse and respond to a wide range of texts.
Primary Year 2–8 writing
Sentence structure, spelling, punctuation and writing structure, built up step by step.
Primary Year 2–8 maths
Number knowledge, times tables, fractions and problem solving with hands-on strategies.
Year 9 & 10 maths
Number & algebra, geometry, measurement and statistics taught step by step until it clicks.
Year 9 & 10 english
Essay structure, close reading, creative writing and clear, confident analysis.
CAA exam preparation
Targeted practice for the NCEA Common Assessment Activities in literacy and numeracy.
Homework support
Weekly guidance so students stay on top of assignments and never fall behind.
